Friselle are crunchy donuts typical from Apulia made of durum wheat flour with a double baking. They are excellent as a snack, aperitif, and as a summer meal! The peculiarity is that they must be soaked in water so as to make them soft and crumbly and, in Salento, people are usually used to wet them with sea water! Just season friselle with extra virgin olive oil, tomato, salt and oregano.
